Financial Report Form Enhancement

1. Objective:

The objective of the Financial Report Form Enhancement is to enhance the current financial reporting tool by introducing additional functionalities. The scope of these improvements encompasses a wide range of features, and as part of the improvements, it includes new capabilities such as Account type field in Formula Grid for Calculation for Report Column Set. The enhancement offers users the flexibility to customize their reports according to their preferences, making the reporting process more user-friendly. 

2. Additional Functionality:

Account type field in Formula Grid for Calculation on Report Column Set

A new functionality is added on Report Column Set tab. On report column set, the “account type” field is introduced on formula grid, when “calculation” is selected in “column type” field. The user can generate report’s calculation on the basis of account type. 

The purpose of adding account type field is that the user can now configure formulas on the basis of account type like Net Income= Revenue- Expenses.

Case 1: 

When account type is selected as ‘Asset’ in both the rows in formula grid and operator is selected as plus (+). 

In this case, the system fetches the data according to the selected account type as asset only (as shown in the above screenshot) and for other account types it would not show the values as shown in below screenshot: 

Case 2: 

When account type is selected as ‘Asset and Liability’ in the rows in formula grid and operator is selected as plus (+). 

In this case, the system fetches the data according to the selected account type as Asset & Liability (as shown in the above screenshot) and for other account types it would not show the values. 

Note: When a user selects bracket in formula grid, then the account type must be same in one bracket, otherwise, system will not fetch values.
