1.1     All Dimension Enhancement 

This section describes the details of the “All Dimension” feature introduced by Vienna Advantage. You can now select the “All Dimension” in the “Type” field while generating the report's row at the Report Line Set tab. 

• In the Type field, the system will show the “All Dimension” in the dropdown and once the user selects the All Dimension value then the system will show all the active Accounting Dimension fields that are enabled at the Accounting Schema and if the same Accounting Schema linked at the selected Balance Aggregation (This used to be selected at the Report Details). 

• There is a checkbox provided called “Any value of unselected dimension” if that is selected then the system will bring data of that row if the selected dimension contains the values i.e. suppose you have the multiple records having the dimension of Business Partner, Product, Project, and Campaign while at the level of Report line set the user selected the Business Partner and Project as a dimension and checked the “Any value of unselected dimension” checkbox then the system will pull the data only related with Business Partner and Project. 

The reports will pull the data from the Fact_Acct table (Ledger Account Details window) based on the dimensions. If the data is available at the ledger accounts details window then as per the settings the system will show the data if data is not found then zero value will be shown at the report level. 

With All Dimension the user would be able to select the single accounting dimension at each field. These are not provided as a multi-select in the case of the All Dimension type. 

There are some setup cases shown below with print shot and details that help the user to understand the All Dimension type in detail: 

Case 1: 

When all the Dimensions are blank and “Any value of unselected dimension” is FALSE.

In this case, the system will pull the data of the ledger code only if any data is available against the ledger code that doesn’t contain any dimension except Organization and Accounts dimension. 

If any data is available at the Ledger Account Details window containing the dimension then that data will not be shown in the report. 

Case 2: 

When all the Dimensions are blank and “Any value of unselected dimension” is TRUE.

In this case, the system will pull the data of the ledger code irrespective of dimension i.e. the system will show the data from the Ledger Account Details window even that contains the other accounting  

Dimension. 

Case 3: 

When any of the Dimensions is selected and “Any value of unselected dimension” is FALSE 

In this case, the system will pull the data of the ledger code only if any data is available against the ledger code and business partner. 

Case 4: 

When any of the Dimension is selected and “Any value of unselected dimension” is TRUE. 

In this case, the system will pull the data of the ledger code if any data is available against the ledger code, business partner, and irrespective of any other dimension. 

Case 5: 

Combination of Dimensions having “Any value of unselected dimension” as FALSE. 

In this case, the system will pull the data of the ledger code only if any data is available against the ledger code, business partner, and activity.  

Case 6: 

Combination of Dimensions having “Any value of unselected dimension” as TRUE. 

In this case, the system will pull the data of the ledger code if any data is available against the ledger code, business partner, activity, and irrespective of any other dimension.
