Financial Report Form Enhancement 

1. Enhancement Points: 

  1. Repeat Header Info on Each Page 

  2. Name and Description column shuffle 

  3. Add a double underline feature to the Horizontal Line 

  4. Ignore Horizontal Line for Name or Description Column 

  5. Generate Parallel Reports 

  6. Column Formula Calculation 

 

1.1 Repeat Header Info on Each Page:  

Vienna Advantage has introduced a new checkbox feature as “Repeat Header on Each Page” on the right panel of Report Details. When user marks this checkbox as true, and generate the report, then the system will dynamically print header and accounting parameters on each page of the PDF file.

1.2 Name and Description column shuffle:  

Vienna Advantage has introduced a new field as “Print Name/ description after Column Index” on Report details header tab. When the column index is defined by the user, then system will shuffle the Name and description columns after the defined column index in report, PDF and excel file. This feature can be used simultaneously with Merge description as well.  

For instance:  

  • When user enters “zero or blank” in this field, then name and description columns will be displayed at the start.  

  • When user enters “2” value in this field, then name and description columns will come after 2 columns.

  • When the user inputs an “incorrect” column index, then the system will display name and description columns at the end.

1.3 Add a double underline feature to the Horizontal Line:  

Vienna Advantage has introduced a list of value as “Double Underline” in “horizontal line” field on Report Line set tab. When user selects double underline as line break value in horizontal line dropdown list, then in report output and PDF file, the system will show double underline for whole row. This feature can be simultaneously used with “Ignore horizontal line for Name/ Description” feature.

Note: When value is not there in description field, then double underline of horizontal lines will not come there. Double underline will come separately for each column.

1.4 Ignore Horizontal Line for Name or Description Column:  

Vienna Advantage has introduced a new checkbox feature as “Ignore horizontal line for Name/ Description” on Report Line Set tab. When user marks this checkbox as true, then the system will not print the horizontal line feature from displaying for Name and Description column for that specific row in report output and PDF file. This functionality is also be used for all the horizontal line like: After line break, Before Line break, Before and After line break and Double underline. This functionality can be implemented whether user merges name and description column or not.

1.5 Generate Parallel Reports:  

Now, the user is able to generate multiple reports simultaneously from Financial Report Form and Financial Report Viewer. The user is able to generate multiple reports on report output and PDF at one time.

 

1.6 Column Formula Calculation:  

Previously, the system didn't keep track of the Account type for the Calculation row. As a result, the column calculation didn't function correctly for row calculation based on account type. Now, the system ensures the account type is maintained for the calculation row, and it applies the column formula to the calculation row as well. 

Note: User can also run conditional formatting with calculation on Report Column Set.

For Instance: 

  • User can bind calculation in ‘line type’ on Report Line Set and calculation in ‘column type’ on Report Column Set. When user will apply Calculation in both line and column, then system will give preference to formula binded on report column set. 

  • When user will bind addition of two ledger codes in Report Line Set, and bind Actual – Budget for null account type, and Budget- Actual for expense account type. Then, the system will bring value as Actual – Budget for calculation row. For expense account type, system will bring Budget – Actual value.
