VServer With AutoStart

  • Vienna Advantage Professional 3.0.2.0, this module is released on framework 5.x 

Enhancement  

Vienna Advantage has enhanced functionality of the VServer Form, with this previous release user has to manually start the VServer after install then module from VIENNA Market. 

Now, in this release we have provided the auto VServer Start Feature after module installation for more detail please refer the below document.   

 

FEATURE FOR THIS RELEASE: 

Introduce New UI Element 

  1. Start and Stop Service separately. 

  2. Separate button provide for Start/Stop Services and Start/Stop VServer. 

  3. AutoStart Checkbox. 

 

  • As user will open the VServer Form, New UI changes is displayed. 

    • Start button is replaced with Start Service button.  

    • AutoStart checkbox (by default it is true), User can start the Services with AutoStart checkbox true or false (As shown in below image). 

 

  • Schedule Type: 

Provided settings on VServer to select "Schedule Type" before starting the servers. 

  1. Linked with Same IP Address: In this option, System will pick only Schedules that are linked with Same IP address on which VServer is running. 

  2. Linked with Same IP and Unlinked Schedule: In this option, System will pick Schedules that are linked with Same IP address on which VServer is running and all other schedules having no IP Address defined. In case of multiple VServer instances, this option is only used for one instance. 

 

  • AutoCheck Box: 

This checkbox is used to AutoStart the services under VServer form. By default user will get AutoStart checkbox true under VServer form. 

 

Start Service with AutoStart True: 

  • When AutoStart checkbox is true, System will automatically restart the services in case user stop the service for module update/reinstall any module or any other reason. System will auto restart the services (which were active in previous run) after the interval of 5 min on module installation. 

  • In case services are running and user install module through Market API, system will automatically stop the services until module installation finished and after the interval of 5 min system will auto restart the services. 

 

Start Service with AutoStart False: 

  • When AutoStart checkbox is false, System will not start the service automatically once user stops it by clicking stop service button.

  

Start Service: 

Selected services from the available option will start by clicking on the Start Service button. Once Service will start, two buttons will enable Stop Service and Stop VServer. As shown in below image. 

During services running mode, user cannot make any changes on VServer Form as form will be set as read only during running mode. 

 

Stop Service: 

This button is used to stop the Services by click on stop services button. If user need to install the modules then he/she must stops the services otherwise system will not install the module. 

Stop Service button will stop all the running services, However keep VServer is in running mode.  

Note: If autostart was true while started the services then system will restart the services after 5 mins (on stop) in case not any module installation is in process if any module installation is in processing then system will wait for next 5 min. 

  

  • Stop VServer: 

This button is used to stop the VServer. Users must stop VServer (Console application) in case user wants to install Vienna Advantage Professional Module from VIENNA Market. On click Stop VServer button, system will stop both all running services and VServer. 

Note: On Stop VServer, system will not auto start the Services/VServer even if AutoStart checkbox is true too. 

Recommendations: 

  • When to use Stop Service: If user want to install any module other than Vienna Advantage Professional from VIENNA Market then user has to use Stop Service button.  

  • When to use Stop VServer: If user want to install Vienna Advantage Professional module from VIENNA Market, then user has to use Stop VServer button.
