Widget: Notification
Overview
The new dynamic home screen layout introduces an Notification widget, a combination widget that integrates the workflow, request and notice widgets into one, reducing the space occupied by these individual widgets.
Product Version and Dependency
This feature is supported by Market (3.1.12.0), Vienna Advantage Base files (2.4.1.0) and Vienna Advantage Framework (6.1.2.0).
Notification Widget
Notification widget appears in the widget library screen when modules are updated on the link. System automatically provides the access to admin roles.
Steps to add Notification Widget on Home screen
Login into the system with Admin role.
Click on the Edit Home icon as shown in below screenshot:
System will open the widget library in left hand side where all the widgets according to the widget access to role. As shown in below screenshot:
Drag the Action Widget to the home screen As shown in below screenshot:
To close the edit home click the cross icon shown in below screenshot:
Finally, Action widget is available on home screen. In action widgets system shows the no. Of records in the respective widget as shown below:
In case, if user wants to remove the widget which is already dragged. Delete icon is available in right side top of widget. User would click edit home icon again to delete the widget from the home screen. As shown in below screenshot:
Workflow Widget
Objective:
In earlier version, users need to view the pending approval, notification in their dashboard. User would take an action from their dashboard.
Solution Approach:
We introduced a new feature called widgets where user would see all the pending approval, notification in widget itself instead of user’s dashboard.
If particular widget is not appear in the Mosaic library then do the below steps to give widget access to a role
Step 1: Login into the system.
Step 2: Open a role window and select the respective role which you want to give widget access.
Step 3: Move to widget access subtab.
Step 4: Give the widget access to the respective role. Below is the widget name.
VIS_WorkflowWidget
VIS_ActionsWidget
VIS_NoticeWidget
Step 5: Click new record and give above widget access one by one.
Step 6: User would click workflow icon to open workflow action widget.
Notice Widget
In Notice Widget user can see all its notices.
User can open Notice Widget by clicking on the Notice in the notification widget. As shown in below screenshot:
User can perform different functions on this widget which are shown in below screenshot:
User can view the total number of notices in the notice widget.
User can view all the notices for the logged-in user and scroll through them to see additional notices.
User can use the cross icon to close the widget.
User can refresh the Notice widget records by clicking on refresh icon.
User can zoom to particular notice by clicking on zoom across icon.
User can Acknowledge any Notice by clicking on tick icon.
Request Widget
In Request Widget user can see request related notifications.
User can open Request Widget by clicking on the Request in the notification widget. As shown in below screenshot:
User can view the notification and recent updates in the particular request record.As shown in below screenshot:
