Enhancement for displaying column name based on Print Label and Period-Ver 2.3.7.0

Financial Report Form Enhancement 

1. Objective 

The primary purpose of this document is to introduce a new feature at the report column set tab, displaying Column Names in the report output based on the Print label and Period. This ensures that the displayed names in the report output align seamlessly with the user's preferences and reporting requirements. The specific enhancement provides user with a more relevant, user-friendly and informative representation of data in the reports. This will help in reducing the likelihood of misinterpretation for column names. 

2. Enhancement Point 

2.1 Provide setting in Report Column Set tab to display the column name based on "Print Label & Period." 

In the standard Financial Report Form, previously there was no provision to generate a financial report with column names as combination of actual defined period and Print Label of that respective column.  As earlier the system only displayed either the column names entered in the “header label” field or "actual period". 

But now the recent update allows the user to print column names based on configuration settings of Column Type field as Year/ Period on the ‘Report Column Set’ tab and the Report parameters. Additionally, this ensures that the system fetches and displays accurate column name. 

In this version, Vienna has introduced a new functionality with name "Print Label & Period" on the Report Column Set tab. When user selects the "Print Label & Period" dropdown field, then the system displays the List of values as- 

• Both Print Label & Period 

• Only Print Label 

• Only Period

2.2 EXAMPLES FOR UNDERSTANDING 

 EXAMPLE 1. Both Print Label & Period:  

Case 1: When the user defines 'header label', 'print label' and 'Print Label & Period' fields and selects the dropdown field as "Both Print Label & Period", then the system displays the column name with the combination of configuration settings in both "Period" and "Print Label" on report column set tab for the respective column and report parameters.

Note: In case Print Label is not available, then system considers the value in the Header Label. 

Case 2: When the user defines 'header label' and 'Print Label & Period' fields and selects the dropdown field as "Both Print Label & Period", then the system displays the column name with the combination of configuration settings in both "Period" and "Header Label" on report column set tab for the respective column and report parameters.

Note: In case Print Label is not available, then system considers the value in the Header Label. 

EXAMPLE 2. Only Print label:  

When the user defines 'header label', 'print label' and 'Print Label & Period' fields and selects the dropdown field as "Only Print label", then the system displays the column name with configuration settings only in "Print Label" on report column set tab for the respective column.

EXAMPLE 3. Only Period:  

When the user defines 'header label', 'print label' and 'Print Label & Period' fields and selects the dropdown field as "Only Period", then the system displays the column name with the combination of configuration settings of the actual selected Year/ Period on report column set tab for the respective column and report parameters.
